- MODIFICATION TO TITLE: NICHD DIVISION OF INTRAMURAL RESEARCH RETREAT The National Institute of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to procure a facility for a retreat that will be held November 15, 2007 through November 16, 2007. The facility shall have a meeting room to accommodate 125-160 people and a poster room for 15 8x4 poster boards that can be seen both on both sides with room to walk in between them. Sleeping rooms are needed for approximately 125 people with 20 rooms required for the first evening on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 and an additional 111 rooms needed for Thursday evening November 15th. 105 single waterfront guest rooms and 6 suites must be provided. On November 15th a buffet breakfast for approximately 20 persons, and for approximately 125 persons an AM break with coffee, tea, bottled water and breakfast food items including fruit platter and a PM break with coffee, tea, bottled water and brownies will be required in addition to a buffet lunch and dinner. On November 16th a buffet breakfast and lunch will be required for a minimum of 125 attendees with an AM break of coffee, tea, bottled water and breakfast food items. A late meeting in the conference room on November 15th will also be required. A vegetarian and kosher style option should be available for all meals. Miscellaneous items to be supplied are all standard AV equipment including LCD projector, podium with sound system, projector screen, lapel microphone, laser pointer, small table to an LCD projector, chairs and tables. This facility shall be 75-120 miles from the NIH and be accredited by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) to ensure a required level of quality of the meeting space, lodging rooms, meals, etc. The facility shall have adequate parking available for our approximately 160 guests on the premises. The facility shall provide dedicated room(s) for meals where NICHD will be the only guests there at the time. The rooms shall accommodate all of the 125-160 guests simultaneously, or be divided into two groups located adjacent to one another and eating at the same time, but be separate from the meeting and poster rooms. The facility shall be located in a rural area. Interested vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the facility described above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing by FAX to 301-480-8501 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-169 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Room 774B, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 Attention: V. Lynn Griffin. FAXED quotations must contain offerors names, address, telephone, number and fax number. FAX quotations will only be be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
