- A request for quotation is being solicited orally for the Stakes, 2-Man Combat Tent, NSN: 8340-01-462-6547, as a Small Purchase with the following quantity: 10,000 Each. There will be four deliveries, with the first delivery beginning one hundred twenty (120) days after date of award and each subsequent delivery every thirty (30) days thereafter. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The destinations for the subject item are Defense Depot Barstow, CA and Defense Depot New Cumberland, PA. Submittal of First Article is required sixty (60) days after date of award. Specifications or other applicable documents can be obtained by contacting Brian McGinley by email at Brian.McGinley@dla.mil or FAX at 215-737-3276. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS cluse 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions in Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
