- NSN 1005-00-614-7463, Part Number 6147463. The item being procured is the Bolt, Subassembly for the M2 .50 CAL Machine Gun. Bolt, Subassembly consists of Bolt, Plate (2) Pins and is manufactured from Steel; with Manganese or Zinc phosphate, Class 1, Type M or Z. Each Bolt Subassembly will withstand the firing of one Government Furnished standard High Pressure Test Cartridge without evidence of failure as determined by magnetic particle inspection per MIL-I-6868 using longitudinal method and a current magnitude of 1500 to 2000 ampere turns. Solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and will be a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity. The Government reserves the right to award up to three (3) separate contracts as a result of this sol icitation. If a single award is made the vendor is guaranteed a minimum quantity of 3,000 each. If two awards are made, each vendor will be guaranteed a minimum quantity of 1,500 each. If three awards are made, each vendor will be guaranteed 1,000 each. Total maximum quantity that could be purchased under this 5 year contract for a single award is 60,000. The maximum quantity if two awards are made is 30,000 for each vendor. The maximum quantity if three awards are made is 20,000 for each vendor. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 16 Feb 2006. The above response date for proposal is only an estimate. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that will be provided via the internet. This solicitation will be issued electr onically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/ SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon a ny interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
