- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure twenty-six (26) UxValidators P/N: 02-1103-01 units and four (4) one-year options periods for up to an additonal two hundred and six (206) UxValidators units. The UxValidator is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) item comprised of a subminiature card cage mounted directly below a color display. This card cage holds all necessary instrumentation cards including an expansion slot for the UxBrainPaks(TM), which are exchangeable function cartridges that transform the capabilities of the UxValidator from component diagnostics to end to end Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) verifications. The UxValidator is uniquely capable of providing real time diagnostics through monitoring sensors, transducers, actuators, amplifiers and presenting intermediate visual feedback when any of the measurements are out of tolerance for the stabilator system on the H-60 aircraft. NAICS 334511 applies. The Government plans to solicit and negotiate the procurement with Ultrax Inc. of Lees Summit, MO. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier for this requirement, as they are the sole source designer and manufacturer. As such, Ultrax is the only firm with the unique knowledge, experience, and propriety data required to fulfill this requirement at this time. The Government is not in possession of the drawings or technical data at this time. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. NAWCADLKE intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
