Description
Sources Sought The United States Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking sources to provide Intermediate Frequency Distribution Switching System (IFDS) which provides all uplink and downlink signals between Goestationary Ground Systems for the Wallops Command and Data Acquisition Station (WCDAS) located in Wallops, Virginia. The Intermediate Frequency Distribution Switching System shall include the following: all software associated with the switching system, spare parts, cabling, training, operations maintenance and software support, auxiliary switching system with associated power supplies and distribution, four local control units (two primary and two spare), receive switching matrix with associated power supplies and distribution and transmit switching matrix with associated power supplies and distribution. This procurement requires the contractor to integrate the Rehosted IFDS and generate an integration plan. NOAA is performing market research to identify sources capable of providing this procurement. The government intends to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for a firm fixed priced contact using FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The desired delivery due date is July 1, 2007. A complete statement of work with specifications will be released with the RFQ. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 334419, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. A set-aside determination has not yet been made. Interested parties should submit a brief description of their capability to meet the requirements and business size. The business size shall include any applicable preference program (i.e. 8a, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, small business). In your response please include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) your company size, point of contact and DUNS number; (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; (d) past performance references with points of contact and telephone numbers.
