NSN 2915-00-909-9119OK, P/N: 37D401750P104. The function of the Spraybar is to provide metered fuel into the afterburner gas path to produce augmented thrust for the J85-GE-5 and -13 engines used in the T-38B/C and F-5 A/B aircraft. Dimensions are approx. 2 in. high X 2 in. wide X 6 in. long. Weight under 1 lb. each. Material is (various) AMS -5353, -5362, -5613, -5685, and L-605 alloys. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-9013, FB2039. Delivery: Qty 664, with 87ea starting 29 Jun 2007. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 26 Dec 2006. The anticipated award date will be 2 Mar 2007. The following source has been approved for this acquisition: Sole Source, Delavan Manufacturing Co. (Cage Code: 71895), West Des Moines, IA 50265-0100. Approved sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Government new/unused, new/reconditioned, new/modified, and used/overhauled are acceptable. P/N and manufacturing verification required. Testing will be conducted in accordance with technical order 6J8-21-3. AMC: 3B. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
