- Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-15. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811310 with a small business size standard of $6.5 million. This acquisition is set aside for small business. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. The award will be made Sole Source to International Automated Systems (IAS) for Line Item 0001: Quantity One (1) ea. Annual Maintenance Servicing. The External Aircraft Fuel Tank Storage System (EAFTSS) was designed and constructed by IAS. Due to the unique complexity of this system, IAS is the only company that can meet the required servicing and maintenance needs. The anticipated award date is 2 Mar 07. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers.
