Description

The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA-786-07-RQ-0049 for the following supply item: The contractor shall be required to complete and deliver to Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas, 500 White Marble Columbarium Niche Covers within fifteen (15) calendar days, following the date the order was issued.  Potential offerors will submit, at contractor expense, one blank marble niche cover sample representative of the stone to be used, the finish to be attained, and testing results, in accordance with the specifications listed in the solicitation. All stone for this contract SHALL be obtained from a quarry in Vermont. This is to ensure compatibility with niche covers currently in place. This sample should be received and approved prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The contractor shall be responsible for shipping and handling of the niche covers to the cemetery: Evaluation criteria for this award will be in the following order: 1) Past Performance, 2) Technical Qualifications, 3) Price. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses.  The NAICS Code is 327991.  Size standard is 500 employees.  Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.FedBizOpps.gov on or about February 22, 2007.  Responses to the solicitation are due on or about 4:00 p.m., March 9, 2007.  Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at FedBizOpps.  Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments.  See Numbered Note 1.
