- The VA VISN 22 Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source contract with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. 4000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547 under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-14 a justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811219 and the Small Business Standard is $6.5M. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA-600-07-RQ-0037IM. This is a sole source requirement with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Contract for period of performance April 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008, with the Government having the option to exercise four one-year renewal periods. Solicitation shall be posted on or about February 20, 2007. The Contractor shall provide Full Service Maintenance Agreement for the Remedi HS Drug Profiling System for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073. The Contractor shall provide Full Service Maintenance with unlimited on-site service and two (2) preventive maintenance inspections per year, emergency service calls at no extra cost to the Government, no charge for loaners, unlimited on-site service dispatched within 24 hours of request, all labor, parts and travel expense shall be included. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. All interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit a proposal. The Government will consider all proposals received by 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time March 6, 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
