- PROJECT NAME: Russell Baker Wetlands Restoration ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. LOCATION: Cherokee County, Kansas, South West 1/4, Section 5, Township 35(S), Range 22(E). SUMMARY: This project is for the restoration of wetlands under the Wetlands Reserve Program in Cherokee County, Kansas. Work is as detailed in the plans and specifications and includes construction or earthfill dikes including site preparation and installation of in-line water level control structures and pipe, excavation of borrow and shallow depressional areas, and seeding of dikes. QUANTITIES: The project will consist of an estimated 34,605 cubic yards of earthfill, an estimated 23.4 acres of grass seeding, installation of 580 linear feet of 8 inch SDR 35 PVC pipe, installation of a water control structure, and an estimated 5,900 cubic yards of depression excavation. TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and days for inclement weather is 83 work days, assuming 10 hour work-days and 5 day work-weeks. Tentative dates for: 1) solicitation, March 8, 2007, and 2) bid opening, April 10, 2007. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration can be completed at the CCR Web site at http://www.ccr.gov.
