- Description
- The purpose of this solicitaion is for right-of-way clearing and construction of a standard 3-wire fence and re-clearing right-of-way and heavy maintenance of an existing fence. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, and transportation necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specifications and provisions herein.The project is located within the Fremont-Winema National Forests on the Paisley Ranger District. The boundary fence is to be installed to split the Sycan and Winter Rim Allotments. Legal description of the project location is as follows: T.32S., R.15E., Sec?s 1, 2, 12, 13, 24, 25 T.33S., R.12E., Sec?s 7, 6, 31 The Sycan-Winter Rim Allotment Fence Project shall be a 3-strand standard wire fence. The top two wires shall be constructed with barbed wire and the bottom wire shall be constructed of smooth wire. This fence is located in an area encompassing ponderosa pine stands, mixed conifer stands, juniper stands, meadow openings, and scab rock flats. The soil is rocky in some places and in others covered by a thick duff layer. The distance for the section of new fence construction is approximately 58,080 ft (10 miles). The estimated start work date is June 2007. All work shall be completed within 80 calendar days after the effective date of the Notice to Proceed.
