- The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - San Diego intends to issue a solicitation to provide for the purchase of Single- Channel, Handheld Radios, components and accessories. A Multiple Award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Fixed-Price type contract is anticipated. The prospective contract will have a one-year base period with four one-year options. The estimated items and quantities are as follows: 89,220 Handheld Radio Sets; 89,220 Extended Warranty; 44,610 Rx/Tx Unit, 178,440 Battery; 44,610 Battery Charger; 89,220 Carrying Case; 44,610 Antenna Suite; 89,220 Holster; 29,740 Spare Parts Kit; 29,740 S/W I/F Cable; 29,740 Cloning Cable; 44,610 Operator's Manual (HC); 44,610 IETM; 89,220 Quick Reference Guide; 44,610 S/W Manual. Additional information will be available on the SPAWAR e-commerce web site under "future opportunities" as it becomes available. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. It is currently anticipated that Solicitation N66001-07-R- 0054 regarding this requirement will be released on or about March 2, 2007. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the SPAWAR E- Commerce Central web site at https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil, under "Business Opportunities", "SSC SAN DIEGO", "Open Solicitations." The solicitation will only be available electronically at this web site. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically monitor the SPAWAR E-Commerce page for updates and new listings. The "Draft" Performance Requirements Document (PRD) has been posted to the aforementioned site for comment.
