Description
The Government intends to issue a Sole Source contract, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 with ViaSat, Inc., 6155 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA for the procurement of (2) MD-1325A(c)/U Modem, P/N VA-013421-0000 including VNTC Software and (2) ViaSat Network Channel Controls, P/N 1032059. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide a certification test bed to ensure compatibility of developmental radios to existing AN/VRC-99 radios currently fielded in various Department of Defense agencies. The ViaSat Inc., modem and controller system is the only system that has been certified by the Navy that meets the Navy's Shipboard Shock, Vibration, and Environmental Standards. The Government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract under the Commercial Item Procedures, FAR Part 13.5. The NAICS Code is 334220 and the applicable size standard is 750 employees. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Comments and/or responses shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, Code 025RR, Robin Rourk at robin.rourk@navy.mil or via facsimile at 843.218.5930. Any response to this announcement must be received no later than 1400 EST 22 February 2007. All responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Numbered note twenty-two (22) applies.
