Description

The Government intends to procure a firm fixed price purchase order for repair of probe assemblies, as required by the Navy Munitions Command, Yorktown, Virginia, on a sole source basis to Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, CT. This procurement is sole source because the probe assembly drawings and technical information is proprietary to Electric Boat/General Dynamic. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Delivery is 52 weeks after receipt of purchase order. The NAICS is 336611. The Request For Quote (RFQ) and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fbo.gov . This office will no longer issue hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the contractor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. By submission of a quote, the contractor acknowledges that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance of the order and through final payment of the purchase order. Failure to register in the CCR may make a contractor ineligible for award. The RFQ will be posted on or about February 21, 2007 and close on or about March 1, 2007.
