- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items from Germane Systems: Part No. 70823-02 TI06-S01-2, Rev 2, 1.5U SERVER, qty. 10; Part No. 70824-01 TI06-S02-1, 1U SERVER, qty. 13; Part No. 70825-02 TI06-S03-2, 1U SERVER, qty. 12; Part No. 70828-01 TI06-S06-1, 1U SERVER, qty. 3; Part No. 70835-01 TI06-S07-1, 1U SERVER, qty. 2; Part No. 70836-01 TI06-S08-1, 1.5U SERVER, qty. 1; Part No. 70837-01 TI06-S09-1, 1U SERVER, qty. 1; and Part No. 70838-02 TI06-S10-2, Rev 2, 3U SERVER, qty. 1. Size standard is 1000 employees. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-07-Q-1845 and is expected to be released on or about 02/27/2007. Required delivery is 9 weeks after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with Germane Systems. They are the only known source for these items because these specific configuration Germane Systems computer Servers are used in the Technology Insertion 06 (TI06) version of the submarine AN/BYG-1 tactical combat system. This portion of the combat system is being duplicated in a Submarine Multi-Mission Team Trainer (SMMTT) trainer by the SMMTT project. To assure software compatibility the hardware must be the same as the tactical system hardware decided by the Navy combat system program office. All other timely offers will be considered.
