- The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for replacement parts for MilSpan Structures manufactured by Anchor Industries, Inc. Replacement parts are as follows: 50 x 15 Middle Panel, 2 Each; 50 x 15 Lower Middle Panel, 1 Each; 50 x 15 Lower Middle Panel with HVAC Ducts, 1 Each; 50 x 15 Fabric Floor, 1 Each; 50 x 30 Drop Ceiling, 1 Each; Transition Boot (AA-Flat), 1 Each; Transition Boot (AA-Angled), 1 Each, Transition Boot (AAA-Flat), 1 Each; and Transitio n Boot (AA-HMMWV), 1 Each. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price, supply-type contrac t with Anchor Industries, Inc. located in Evansville, Indiana. The basis for restricting competition is that Anchor Industries manufactured the original MilSpan Structures and is believed to be the only source who can manufacture the replacement parts to be compatible with the original products. NAICS code for this procurement is 314912 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Offic er within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determinat ion by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. See Numbered Note 22. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source neg otiation with the manufacturer, Anchor Industries.
