- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Audie L Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, Texas, is looking for firms, SBA certified as a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business for this project. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS Code 236220 with a small business size standard of $31 million. Cost Range for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This procurement provides for the necessary labor, materials and equipment to add a third floor to an existing two story structure (Building 1). Work includes general construction, alterations, walks, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, telephone/data system, fire alarm and nurse call system, fire protection, utility systems, limited demolition of existing roofing and structures and erection of new structural elements, and certain other items. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses and/or permits required to perform this work in the State of Texas. This solicitation is a 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB). Solicitation documents will be available on or about March 2, 2007. Request for documents shall be forwarded to Chesney-Morales Associates, Inc., 4901 Broadway, Suite 250, San Antonio, Texas 78209, attention Shawna Vorhes. Telephone 210 828-9481, Fax 210 828-9719. When calling be prepared to state the firms name, address, phone number, email address and solicitation number. All responsible firms may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Proposal documents are available at a cost of $200.00 per set, refundable upon return, to Chesney-Morales Associates, Inc. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for March 20, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Audie L Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital, located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, Texas. Sealed proposals are due to the Contracting Officer by April 3, 2007, 3:00 p.m. ET. There will be no public opening. All offerors must ensure that their firms have the ability to provide both 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. Offers from other than SDVOSB, concerns will not be considered for an award under this procurement. The proposals will be evaluated and award made on the basis of Best Value Procurement in accordance with FAR Subpart 15. Contract will be awarded SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
