Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Maritime Industrial Branch, Hampton Roads Division proposes to contract for the design and fabrication of 1 each Vacuum Oven System for the heating and drying of Stud Heaters meeting the requirements of the government statement of work. The oven shall be stainless steel 60 inches (min) long hollow inner cylinder with 24 inches diameter (min); capable of holding four components each measuring seven inches in diameter and 58 inches long. Oven temperature to be capable of being controlled to 140 ? 150 degree Fahrenheit. Insulation to cover the entire heated area except the door, ports and legs of cylinder. Outer cylinder to be 16-gage min. grained or brushed stainless steel mounted on stand-offs to completely contain the insulation along the entire length of the inner cylinder. Must be supplied with two thermocouples; one to be connected to controller, the other will be for connection to customer?s separate temperature monitor; they must be supported inside the oven chamber. Racks constructed from stainless steel perforated sheets shall be installed inside the cylinder to provide storage of four stud heaters at one time; must be capable of supporting 100 LBS. A written solicitation with detailed specifications and the government?s terms and conditions will be issued. This requirement is being handled utilizing SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES as set forth in FAR PART 13. The requirement is Set Aside for Small Business with a Small Business Standard NAICS Code of 333994 with 500 employees. Response date for submission of quotations will be established in the solicitation. Requests for solicitation packages will be accepted via mail and e-mail only. All requests shall include, as a minimum, the complete mailing address, telephone number, Fax number and point of contact.
