- Description
- The project consists of but is not limited to the construction of an Aero Club Hangar and Support Spaces at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. Civil site work includes excavation, grading, fill, soil compaction, provision of utilities including gas, water, power, and sanitary sewer, paving and landscaping. Architectural work includes a new hangar with bi-folding door, office and support spaces including toilet rooms, offices, a sales counter, a testing room, a flight preparation room, a break area and a maintenance shop. Mechanical work includes heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, plumbing, and a compressed air system. Electrical work includes electrical service, power distribution, and lighting for the building. This project includes Additive Bid Item A: Includes all work required to provide a natural gas pipeline from the gas main alongside Perimeter Road to the Aero Club facility; Additive Bid Item B: Includes all work required to provide a fire pump to provide for adequate water pressure to meet the Aero Club facility demand for water for fire suppression; Additive Bid Item C: Includes all work required to provide a parking lot and access road to the new Aero Club Road; Additive Bid Item D: Includes all work required to provide a trash dumpster enclosure. Award of the Additive Bid Items will be based on available funds The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The approximate issue date will be 28 February 2007 with an approximate response date of 29 March 2007. The solicitation is a Request for Proposal and will be issued on an unrestricted basis. All firms must be registered with the Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award. The solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Estimated contract performance period is 365 calendar days. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Web Site at http://www.eps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 436 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
