- Description
- This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources interested in providing Fire Protection and Emergency Services at 45th Space Wing at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS), Florida Annexes and other locations to include Patrick AFB. The Fire Protection and Emergency Service would most likely include the following: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform all fire protection tasks and functions as AF fire department working 24 hours on and 24 hours off schedule. All personnel will be certified IAW the DOD Fire and Emergency Services Program for the position that they are hired for or currently working as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) at CCAFS and Florida Annexes. Fire Protection Vehicles and Fire Stations will be government furnished and may change at any time within the period of the contract. The vehicles are furnished for the contract, but are owned and may be moved at anytime by the Air Force. The initial fire department response to the southern annexes will be handled by mutual aid agreement with the local fire department. Fire inspections will be the responsibility of the contractor. Fire protection and prevention services and response shall be at AF standards. The contractor shall provide fire department and fire protection and fire prevention functions according to DODI 6055.1, DODI 6055.6-M, AF Instruction 32-2001, Air Force Occupational Safety and Health manual 91-301 for fire protection programs, Air Force Occupational Safety and Health Standard 91-501, National Fire Codes, and OSHA requirements, as well as Air Force, local, state, federal, and industry standards. The contractor would ensure proper resource management for cost effective mission success of the 45th Space Wing at CCAFS, Florida Annexes and other locations to include Patrick AFB. The contractor would maintain public safety and the safety of the workforce. The contractor would maintain safe and secure operating locations and be flexible and innovative in protecting and preserving physical and environmental assets. Secret facility and safeguarding clearances will be required in the performance of this work. Companies proposing on this acquisition must be U.S. owned and personnel supporting this contract must have a minimum of a Secret Clearance. A long-term contract is anticipated, one base year and subsequent options. Multiple awards are not anticipated. Because the government reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for small business, 8(a) firms, HUB Zone firms or Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business based on the responses it receives, it is imperative that firms respond with the required information for capabilities to be accurately evaluated.
