- Description
- The Government intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a firm-fixed price (FFP) acquisition with ProTelecom LLC. This non-competitive action is being processed in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Soliciting from a single source. Description: The Government has a requirement for a 1-year maintenance and technical support contract for the VSX-8000 video teleconference (VTC) system installed at Creech Air Force Base NV. The sole source determination is based on the VTC system being under parts and installation warranty until Feb ?08. The use of any other vendor to provide maintenance and technical support would void the warranty. Also, the maintenance and technical support must be obtained through ProTelecom to ensure system compatibility and continuity. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation nor is it a request for competition. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
