- Description
- The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to issue a sole-source to Bowe, Bell & Howell, to provide maintenance service on equipment and software. These systems are proprietary to Bowe, Bell & Howell. The period of performance is for a base period of 12 months, beginning on or about February 28, 2007 and will have 3 one year option periods. Services will be provided in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.3, Simplified Acquisition Methods. The authority for contracting without providing for full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in the timeframe required. The Contractor is required to provide the following services on the following mailroom messaging and software equipment: Jetstar 3000, Mailstar 775 AUI 4.0 software maintenance. THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR SUBPART 5.2. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. Therefore, no solicitation document is available.
