Description

This justification for other than full and open competition is in accordance with the policies and procedures of FAR 6.3. A description of the supplies or services required to meet the agency's needs - Sun Rack 900-38 with front door and PDS installed - Sun Rack power cable - Sun Rack power jumper cables A demonstration that the proposed contractor's unique qualifications or the nature of the acquisition requires use of the authority cited. The issue is not compatibility, but rather, adding another vendor (variable) that could impact our high-availability and if that item fails and we need to request service from yet another vendor. If we acquire the Sun rack, it will be maintained under the current agreement. We have invested heavily with redundancy of key components to achieve this desired availability. Adding another variable would increase the risk in our ability to meet the desired level of availability. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt will consider all affirmative responses received no later than February 14, 2007 at 8:00 A.M. EST. A request for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response.
