- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Businesses, SBA-certified HUBZone, SBA-certified 8(a), or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) contractors available for a proposed contract who meet the specific criteria outlined below. This is not a Solicitation Announcement or Request for Proposal. It does not constitute any commitment by the Government. No award will result from this notice. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government to make an appropriate acquisition decision. The BEP will not award a contract on the basis of responses or pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this notice. After completing an analysis of the responses, the Government will determine whether to limit competition to 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or small business firms, or to proceed with issuing an unrestricted solicitation, inviting full and open competition. The BEP has a requirement for a Contractor to provide services for leasing and laundering of uniforms to be worn by BEP employees at the Washington, D.C. facility located at 14th & C Sts., SW, Washington, DC 20228. The Contractor will be required to pick-up soiled uniforms from and deliver the laundered uniforms to the D.C. facility on a weekly basis. The Contractor shall provide the following services: - Furnishing all facilities, labor, material and transportation for weekly uniform rental and laundry service. - Providing approximately 650 employees with 5-14 uniforms each within 5 weeks of receiving final list of sizes, types and colors from BEP. - Providing new uniforms or replacement uniforms within two weeks of notification. - The contractor shall maintain the uniforms in good order by ensuring that they are free of any defects, i.e., holes, tears, fabric defects, spots, uneven dyeing, loose or missed stitches, or anything else that would affect the appearance, usefulness or serviceability. - Maintaining an accurate log of uniforms provided and an accurate accounting system. BEP anticipates awarding a Performances Based Service, Firm Fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The NAICS Code for these services is 812331. Companies who have the experience, as well as an interest in doing business with the BEP, should submit a Capabilities Statement which, for this notice, is not expected to be a proposal, but rather short statements regarding the company?s ability to demonstrate their expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified in this notice. Companies should also indicate whether they are a Small Businesses, SBA-certified HUBZone, SBA-certified 8(a), or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
