- The Portland District Corps of Engineers is looking for interested, capable contractors with complete hydroelectric powerhouse, fire suppression, detection, and HVAC Installation capabilities. This is a request for information only to be used in det ermining future procurements. This is not a solicitation, or offer from the Government. The contract(s) may consist of three parts together or any combination of parts: (1) A performance based fixed-price component for installation of a fully code compliant Bulk CO2 fire suppression system. (2) A performance based fixed-price component for installation of a fully code compliant Fine Water Mist fire suppression system. (3) A construction based fixed-price component for the installation of fully code-compliant elements of HVAC systems. Request industry responses include notices of interest and (a) Capability to perform as prime contractor for all 3 parts, or (b) as prime for only a portion of the components, (c) suggestions for solicitation format, (d) pricing schedules and escalation fa ctors to be used in cost analysis for work to be performed in future years, and (e) any other suggestions industry may want to convey prior to issuance of the solicitation(s) in FY2008. Please include your business size status, i.e., Hub-Zone, small business, small disadvantaged business, large business.
