- It is the intent of this agency to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This agency intends to award to Olympus Surgical & Industrial America Inc., 1 Corporate Dr. Orangeburg, NY 10962-2615. MXS NDI LAB requires NDI Videoscope Equipment; the following items are required: - Part number: N2318322, IV7635A-2 IPLEX SA II-R System NTSC - Part number: N6955000, IV76-AT80D/FF Tip Adapter - Part number: N2319900, MAJ-1046D IV76-AT60D Stereo Tip - Part number: N1015830, 3D Eyetrek FMD-3DN NTSC - Part number: N1015500, Iplex Accessory Bag MAF-1120 - Part number: 1163094, 24V/12V Iplex Battery System - Part number: N1263500, MAJ-1253 Rigid Sleeve IV76X1 - Part number: N1015400, Iplex Remote Control Ext Cable A contract for Videoscope Equipment will be awarded to Olympus Surgical & Industrial America Inc. following no response back to this notice of intent. The purchase of videoscope equipment must be done through Olympus Surgical & Industrial America Inc. because they are the only found manufacturer of the equipment that uses a heads-up display unit with 3D image for depth perception that allows for a hands-free operation with remote control. Due to the lack of technology, other companies that were looked into would not be able to fulfill the requirements for the customer. Market research was conducted for the purchase of this Videoscope Equipment and Olympus Surgical & Industrial America Inc. is the only contractor found able to supply this item as we require. If no response to this notice is received by 12:00pm EST on Monday, February 20, 200, the award for this Videoscope equipment will be made to Olympus Surgical & Industrial America Inc.
