- This modification is to extend the response date to 14 March 2007. This acquisition is to obtain a three year (basic year and two annual options) firm fixed price contract for the Tail Rotor Yoke applicable to the UH-1N Helicopter. NSN: 1615-00-172-4520GA, P/N: 212-010-704-5, Noun: Tail Rotor Yoke. Basic year quantity is 162 EA, option quantities are 1-150 EA for both options. Data is available and instructions for obtaining the data will be posted as an attachment to the solicitation, which will posted on approximately 29 January. The data will not be available prior to the posting of the solicitation on FedBizOpps. This part requires engineering source approval by the control activity to assure the integrity of the part if procured from other than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or current approved source. The only known approved Air Fore source is the OEM, Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. Any alternative source must qualify according to the design control activity?s procedures as approved by the applicable government engineering activity, WR-ALC/580 ACSSS/Engineering Flight. Source approval information/requirements are documented in ?UH-1/TH-1 Source Approval Request Guidance,? WR/H-1/06-43, dated 18 July 2006, which will be attached to the solicitation. Requested delivery is on or before May 2007. Only newly manufactured materials will be considered, surplus is not acceptable. Numbered note 26 applies.
