- Description
- The purpose of this solicitation is to secure Fire Lookout Services for the Deschutes National Forest. The scope of the work is to detect and report smoke and/or fires, monitor and forward radio messages, record and report weather conditions within and adjacent to the Deschutes National Forest. Fire Lookout services will be for the East Butte Lookout which is located approximately 38 miles southeast of Bend, Oregon. This contract will consist of one base period and two option renewal periods. The initial contract period is estimated to begin May 26, 2007 through September 30, 2007. However, at the option of the Government the contract may be renewed for additional one year periods not to exceed two renewal periods. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, transportation, supplies, supervision, and incidentals necessary to perform the work within the specifications. Contract location is the Bend Fort Rock Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest, Bend Oregon. Solicitation packages will be available for free download at www.fedbizopps.gov. The anticipated issuance date of the solicitation is February 28, 2007, with quotes due at the close of business on March 20, 2007 at 4:30 p.m.
