- Description
- Defense Supply Center Richmond intends to extend the validity of contract SPM450-03-D-4038, option 3, by 30 calendar days. This extension will allow the completion of negotiations under solicitation SPM4A6-07-R-0009 to conclude without loss of critical contract support by Safety Kleen under the expiring contract. This extension is justified pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Safety Kleen is the only known source of supply and services because Safety Kleen is the only known CONUS manufacturer of re-refined motor oil with at least 25% re-refined content in 5W30, 10W30, 10W40, 40W, 15W40, 10W and 30W grades. Safety Kleen is the only known source of supply that provides these oil products with re-refined content and removes used motor oil from CONUS customer locations. The anticipated value of the 30 day extension is $67,712.86.
