- Description
- The intent of the project is to have the roof replaced at the Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building, 477 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI. The contractor will be required to remove existing roofing system including paver ballest, membrane installation, vapor barrier and flashing in their entirety. Install new roofing system and all associated required components. The project shall be constructed in phases to minimize the disruption of existing occupant's roof mounted equipment and building environmental and service systems. Completion time is 90 calendar days from notice to proceed. The Contractor working hours shall be generally established to occur during the Government occupied hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on weekends. The following work shall be performed during unoccupied hours: (1) core drilling through structural slabs or walls and demolition of concrete or masonry and (2) any work tasks determined to be disruptive to Government personnel due to dust, fumes or noise. The estimated price is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. This procurement is unrestricted and open to all business concerns in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS is 238160 with size standard of $13 million. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. The solicitation will be available o/a June 6, 2006 (the actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation). The solicitation will be available for download through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) website (fedteds.gov). All interested vendors must register with FedTeDS and registration requires that the following information be provided: (1) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), (2) DUNS Number or CAGE Code, (3) Telephone Number, and (4) E-Mail Address. Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring FedBizOpps and FedTeDS for amendments and/or additional information. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for June 15, 2006 (the actual date and site-visit details will be stated in the solicitation). Proposals will be submitted to a procurement office in Chicago, IL (specific submission instructions will be stated in the solicitation). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Small business concerns, including HUBZone, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, disadvantaged and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit a proposal.
