- The Government intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a firm-fixed-price (FFP) acquisition with Agfa Corporation. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the Department of the Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of McGuire Air Force Base. This action is being processed in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Soliciting from a single source. Description: The Government has a requirement for three (3) Barco Coronis 5 Mega Pixel (5MP) LCD gray scale monitors as an upgrade to the current Barco Coronis CRT monitors being used for radiological screening and testing. The sole source determination is based on the fact that the monitors must be purchased from Agfa Corporation to ensure system compatibility since the monitors are an upgrade to the current Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) system. The monitors connect to a graphics card that is designed to work only with monitors provided by Agfa, so an upgrade to the system monitors must be purchased from Agfa to ensure system compatibility. Additionally, the warranty and service maintenance agreements already in place will only continue if the monitors are purchased from and installed by Agfa. No solicitation package will be issued. This is not a request for competitive quotations; however, responses received by February 16, 2007, no later than 10:00am, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
