- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: With reference to Sources Sought Notice No. AG-3B19-R-06-0004 posted on the FedBizOpps site December 18, 2006, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is planning to post solicitation No. AG-3B19-S-06-0004 requesting proposals to build a pre-fabricated vehicle storage building at the NRCS Plant Materials Center, Beaver Dam Road, Beltsville, Maryland 20705. SDVOSB SET-ASIDE: The solicitation will be a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Any SDVOSB concern that may be interested in submitting a proposal for this project should follow the instructions included in the solicitation when it is posted. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will be a turn-key project for the construction of a steel pre-fabricated storage building (84ft. long x 40ft. wide) with concrete footers, floor, apron and splash pad, and miscellaneous site improvements complete and ready for use within the time specified in the contract documents. The Contractor shall provide an Engineer registered in the state of Maryland to design the building foundations, interior floor slab, exterior apron and splash pad. Depending upon the availability of funds it is anticipated that the solicitation for the project will be issued electronically on this FedBizOpps web site sometime between mid February and mid March, 2007. Paper copies or CDs will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates or amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and must be Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns in order to be eligible for award. NRCS reserves the right to not advertise the solicitation if it is in the best interest of the government. Forward all questions in writing to the primary point of contact identified below.
