- SOLICITATION: Solicitation Number: USTDA-07-Q-81-021, Definitional Mission for Agribusiness Sector in Albania issued as a RFQ. The purpose of this amendment is to post a Question and an Answer about the above subject project. QUESTION: CAN USTDA PROVIDE MORE SPECIFICS ON WHAT THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS DEFINITIONAL MISSION ARE SO WE CAN BE MORE RESPONSIVE IN DEVELOPING A PROPOSAL? ANSWER: We have limited information from the Government of Albania, but their request specifically deals with developing new food processing plants. They would like to develop new food processing plants to expand their agricultural exports to its neighbors and EU member countries. They have some existing food processing plants and they produce frozen fruits and vegetables on a limited scale. These facilities are privately owned, but the Government of Albania would like to devleop this market and develop a strategy for building new food processing plants for the various products mentioned above.
