- This notice is modified to provide specific information omitted from the original notice posted 1-24-07. Any interested firms that have responded may resubmit a modified Statement of Interest on company letterhead (not to exceed 1 page in length) to address changes, by the closing date. This office intends to award a FFP type contract for A MINIMUM OF ONE, NO MORE THAN FOUR EACH special protected, all-wheel drive, 350 HORSEPOWER GASOLINE ENGINE, SIX PASSENGER SEATING, sport utility vehicles (FSC 2310), CURRENT MODEL YEAR. The vehicle shall be assembled as an integral armor structural component design. Protection levels shall be IAW testing procedures utilized by the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) and U.S. testing certification procedures. Minimum ballistic protection shall be NIJ Level IV/EURONORM B6. Minimum floor protection shall be at SCATTERABLE MINE (WEDGE SHAPED) protection level. The vehicle must conform to current Department of Defense (DOD) specifications and STANDARDS for BALLASTIC AND BLAST protection. Vehicle is for overseas use and shall meet the applicable requirements of the German Strassenverkehrs-Zulassungsordnung (StZVO). Vehicle shall be delivered 150 DARO or earlier. Delivery shall be FOB destination within Germany. This office considers WBA HEUSEL GMBH to be the only responsible source capable of satisfying these requirements. Qualified firms desiring to state their interest in this notice should provide a Statement of Interest on company letterhead (not to exceed 5 pages in length) on or before 14 FEBRUARY 2007 to Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic, Attention: ACQ12BTS, 6506 Hampton Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23508-1278. Should no interest from qualified firms be received as of the closing date of this request for interest, a solicitation will be forwarded to WBA HEUSEL GMBH on a sole source basis.
