- The original synopsis was posted 31 May 2006 as USA-SNOTE-060531-010. The contractor, as a firm, must have experience in managing and providing hospital housekeeping services to institutions of similar size and scope as required by this solicitation . The contractor must have gained this experience as a result of being regularly engaged in the business of providing services in health care/patient care environments (e.g. same-day surgery, outpatient, ancillary and dental care services). The minimum l evel of acceptable experience required is 24 months within the previous 36 months from the date initially established for submission of proposals. Periods of creditable performance may have been incurred at more than one site for at least 12 consecutive c alendar months at each site and cannot be incurred concurrently. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management support, transportation, equipment, tools, materials and services (except as specified as government-furnished) to provide com plete hospital housekeeping services required to curtail the spread of nosocomial infection and maintain sanitation standards established for Irwin Army Community Hospital (IACH), Fort Riley, Kansas. There will be a transition period prior to commencement of contract performance. The period of performance is expected to begin 1 October 2007 and run for a basic and four one-year option periods. The solicitation is expected to be posted to FedBizOpps the week of 5 February 2007. This procurement is 100 pe rcent set-aside under the Small Business Administration's Small Business program and only proposals received from responsible small business sources will be considered. The Small Business Size Standard for this requirement is $15,000,000 (average annual r eceipts over the last 3 years). The work is currently being performed by Government employees undergoing an A-76 Commercial Activities Study. The Federal Government will also submit a bid for the services on this solicitation.
