Description

US Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Edgewood Division, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with ICx Mesosystems to procure two Biological Sensor Systems with integration capability onto the Unamanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Military Applications in Reconnaissance and Surveillance (MARS) to be developed and manufactured by ICx MesoSystems. The proposed bioaerosol sensor is the only available detector which meets the existing MARS requirements. Under the proposed acquisition, ICx MesoSystems will m odify their existing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) AirSentinel 1000XT Developmental Units to be integrated onto iRobots PackBot, and also will provide technical support. Anticipated award date is Mar 16, 2007. The policies and procedures set forth in F AR Parts 12 and 13 will be used for this procurement. Period of performance is anticipated to be 6 months. The contractor shall deliver two kits. Copies of the solicitation are not available. Note 22 applies.
