Description
Eligible contractors who are interested in participating in exchanges with the Government concerning the formation, solicitation and subsequent award of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Design/Build Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) at U.S. Army and Air Force Installations in Honshu, Japan are requested to respond to this notice. Based on the number of respondents the Government anticipates holding an Industry day at either Yokota Air Base or Camp Zama Japan during Feb 07. The Industry day is designed to enhance prospective offerors understanding of a MACC, promote interest and most importantly for the Government, to explore market trends. The MACC is used for execution of a broad range or maintenance, repair and minor construction and may include design. Contractors will be expected to accomplish a wide variety of individual construction tasks, including design/build (ranging from approximately 35% up to 100% design effort), renovation, additions/upgrades, along with specific work in electrical, mechanical, civil, heating/ventilation/air conditioning and other major trades. The number of contracts that may be awarded is unknown at this time. However, each contract awarded will contain a basic 12-month period and four 12-month option periods. It is anticipated that individual task orders may range between Y1,000,000 and Y500,000,000 with most task orders falling in the range of Y5,000,000 and Y50,000,000. This MACC program will be performed in its entirety in the country of Japan. The successful offeror must be licensed and registered to perform work in the country of Japan.
