- This requirement is a multiple year project for sixteen new hydraulic pump unit skids. The pump units are located outdoors in concrete containment basins and provide hydraulic power for actuation of components such as valves in large air ducting that supports the Aero-Propulsion Systems Facility (ASTF)located at Arnold AFB TN. The makeup of each skid unit includes from one to four variable volume, pressure compensated axial piston pumps, motors, filters, cooling unit, circulation pump unit with associated reservoir and dedicated controls. The pump flow rate shall be 100 gpm per pump at 3000 psi. Five HPUs will have two pumps, three HPUs will have three pumps, and eight HPUs will have four pumps. The project includes detailed design, fabrication, demolition, installation of one to three HPUs per install schedule, testing, commissioning and training. The project also includes piping modifications to existing bank of hydraulic accumulators for each HPU and structural support for some existing piping. The requirement will be for a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or a five year requirements contract. Proposals will be due three weeks after solicitation issuance date.
