Description
The purpose of this Notice is to publish Draft Solicitation No.DOL072J1004 and revised Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the Bureau of Labor Statistics A-76 Standard Competition of Economists, Writer/Editors, and Program Analysts. The PWS has been completely revised based on comments received in response to the posting of the Draft PWS on November 17, 2006. The previous reference number was BLS-06-26. That number is hereby superseded by the Solicitation Number DOL072J1004. This Notice updates the synopsis published on June 28, 2006. This announcement is a request for comment/questions on the Draft Solicitation and revised Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics A76 Standard Competition for Economists, Writer/Editors, and Program Analysts. Comments/questions are being solicited from interested parties, both public and private organizations. All comments should be received no later than 4 PM on March 2, 2007. Comments and/or questions should be submitted electronically via e-mail to the Contracting Officer Representative, Judith Silver, at silver.judith@bls.gov. Do not submit proposal offers at this time. In accordance with OMB Circular A-76, the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics announces a Standard Competition of Economists, Writer/Editors, and Program Analysts within the Office of Technology and Survey Processing and the Office of Publications and Special Studies. All positions are located at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2 Massachusetts Avenue, NE, Washington, DC. The incumbent service providers are 51 Government employees supported by 14 contractor manpower equivalents. BAE Systems is the employer for the incumbent supporting contractor equivalents. The incumbent Government employees are performing the majority of the functions. The Competitive Sourcing Official is Patrick Pizzella, the Agency Tender Official is Rick Kryger, and the Contracting Officer is Ausie Grigg. The projected end date for the competition is June 29, 2007. A six month time limit extension has been approved if the competition cannot be completed by that date. At this time, no solicitation is available. Prospective offerors are encouraged to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov for announcement of the solicitation.
