- The Federal Correctional Institution, Waseca, Minnesota will be issuing a solicitation to obtain subsistence food supplies. The contractor will provide a variety of subsistence food supplies for the food service department. An order will be placed by an institution contracting officer to the contractor in writing, telephonically, or by fax or other acceptable means. The contracting officer will issue the contractor an identifying number which shall be identified on the invoice for payment. The contractor is to sumbit an invoice for any orders that are placed. All deliveries are to arrive at the receiving area (FCI Waseca warehouse) between 7:30am - 11:00am & 12:00pm - 3:00pm or at the discretion of the institution. Supplies shall be delivered Monday through Thursday with the exception of weekends and federal holidays. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Waseca, Minnesota will allow multiple awards after determining price and value. Tortillas, cereals, vanilla, spices, sauces, mustard, beans, dressings, margerine, shortening, canned fruit, canned vegetables, napkins, cornmeal, cornstarch, flour, pasta noodles, rice, gelatin, jelly, sugar, relish, tomato paste, and pickles. The period of performance shall be from 04/01/2007 - 06/30/2007. Award is anticipated to be April 01, 2007 based on the availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or after February 20, 2007, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
