- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to award a purchase order to Nippon Instruments, Inc., a Division of AGS Scientific, Inc., under the authority FAR 6.302-1 through Request for Quotation EA133C-07-RQ-0125. Only one responsible source is available to satisfy the agency requirement to provide an auto-sampler and associated accessories. Nippon Instruments, Inc. is the only known source that can provide a auto-sampler and associated accessories to interface with the Nippon MA2 Mercury Analyzer. Purchase of the afore mentioned equipment from any other source would void the manufacturers warranty. Additionally, Nippon genuine accessories will only interface with other Nippon genuine accessories. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All information received by 12:00 p.m., EST, 02/09/2007 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government.
