Description
This announcement amends a pre-solicitation notice posted October 30, 2006 for ?Power-By-the-Hour? (PBtH) maintenance support for V-22 aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD intends to award a bridge contract on a sole-source basis to Rolls-Royce Corporation, Indianapolis, IN to extend the existing contract for PBtH maintenance support for AE1107C commercial engines, site support, data requirements, and program management support, as needed, to V-22 deployments. The bridge is expected to be for not less than 9 months and not more than 24 months. The existing contract expires 31 March 2007. V-22 aircraft flight activity is anticipated to be up to 20,000 flight hours per annum. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Due to the commercial (FAR Part 12) nature of the proposed contract action, all expressions of interest and fully supported capability statements must be received no later than 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
