- The purpose of this special notice is to announce the intention to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) by mid February, 2007 for the Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System IV (ICIDS-IV) for small business comment. EVANS, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, PHONE: 256-955-5878, E-MAIL: CHRISTOPHER.EVANS@SMDC.ARMY.MIL SMDC WEB: http://www.smdc.army.mil/Contracts/Contracts.html NAICS: 561621 SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE ACTION: The Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) has a requirement for the Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System IV (ICIDS-IV). The ICIDS-IV is an integrated approach that uses color graphic displays, keyboards, computers, and printers in respon ding to a host of interior/exterior sensors, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), and Entry Control Equipment (ECE) to provide intrusion detection and physical security for high-risk areas. The purpose of ICIDS-IV is to monitor designated areas and facilitie s on and around an installation. When unauthorized attempts to enter these areas and facilities are detected, the ICIDS-IV provides alarms for operators to take the required action. Specific details of the requirement will be outlined in the Statement of Work. The basic contract is anticipated to be for one (1) base year with five (5) one-year options. . The DRFP will be issued by mid-February 2007. Comments are welcomed and encouraged. Ten working days will be afforded for those small businesses that wish to comment. SMDC has determined that this solicitation will be issued under small busines set-aside.
