Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F3ZT897016A101; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-15 and Defense DCN 20070122. This acquisition will be 100% set-aside for small business; The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is J061. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7699. The business size standard is $6,500,000. This request for quotation consists of the following items: Item 0001: Qty 5 EA, Non-personal services; contractor shall provide all transportation, labor, tools, parts, materials, and facilities in order to refurbish Marathon Electric Synchronous AC generators IAW manufacturer?s specifications. Contractor shall provide transportation of five generators, weighing approximately 6,000 lbs, from and back to Travis AFB, CA 94535. 2400/4160VAC, 3 Phase, 130 Amps, 750-kW, .8 PF, 1800 RPM, 70VDC Field Voltage, 2.1 Field Amps. Serial Numbers: ZN-40850200-12/1-02, WK-1953418-9/24, IB-GU010420-01/9-02, ZC-1953992-3/2, and RK-1951380-9/13-1. Minimum work required: test windings IAW manufacturers specifications and electrical apparatus services association EASA standards. Repair and or replace lead wires as necessary using silver soldered connectors and reinsulate with 5-kV shrink tubes, length of new leads shall be no shorter than original leads, customer shall accomplish installation of terminals at the end new leads. Re-tag all lead wirings for proper phasing. Disassemble, inspect, clean rotor, stator and exciter assembly. Clean, vacuum pressure impregnate VPI, and bake rotor, stator and exciter assembly windings. Dynamic balance rotor assembly and replace bearing using OEM part number A-9705R-100. Clean, prep, and primer paint external generator parts. Reassemble and test generator. High potential test AC and DC windings. Surge test AC windings. Furnish final results of all electrical and mechanical test to customer. Contractors are asked to submit their delivery timeframe and their tax identification number with their proposal.
