Description
The subject requirement is for acquisition of 1 NSN. This proposed procurement includes items within the Federal Supply Class 4710. See Note(s): 1, 9, and 26. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about ?19 February 07? at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp. The scope of this contract includes the acquisitioning for one AMC/AMCS code of 1/C. This signifies that the part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition of the part from the approved source or sources). The approved sources retain the data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. This AMSC code implies that parts procured under this NSN are candidates for other than full and open competition. The delivery for this acquisition will be on an FOB Destination basis. The proposed procurement contains a 50% option which may be exercised at time of award or after award during the period of the contract delivery schedule minis fourteen days. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This NSN requires Government Source Inspection and the Rubber Hose with a Shelf Life of 12 years (144 Months). This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis with other than full and open competition. The approved sources are 0ACH0 p/n 5A1020.
