PR Number(s): Item: 0001 NSN: 2840014523173PRPR HOUSING,GEARBOX,TUR P/N: 9340M41G03, Description: THE MAIN HOUSING IS A MAGNESIUM ALLOY CAST COMPONENT OF THE ACCESSORY GEARBOX. THE FUNCTION OF THE MAIN HOUSING IS TO FORM AN OIL TIGHT BOX CONTAINING A GEAR DRIVE THAT POWERS SEVERAL COMPONENTS OF THE ENGINE AND AIRCRAFT. DIMENSIONS: APPROXIMATELY 25 NCHES WIDE X 8.6 INCHES DEEP X 8.6 INCHES TALL. MATERIAL: QE-22 (ALLOY OF MAGNESIUM AND SILVER). Total Line Item Qty: 53.0000 EA Destn: FB2039,Tinker AFB,OK.,73145-9013. Delivery: Approx. 30JUN2008, Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) is 53.00 EA Ranges will be solicited. Approximate ranges are 27-52ea and 53-80ea. First Article Government Test may be Required. Pre-Qualification of Source Required. Export Controlled Drawings/Data will be available at www.FedTeds.gov to Qualified Sources. Qualified Sources are Triumph Gear Systems, General Electric Company, and Beacon Industries. Berry Amendment may apply. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Request for Written Quotation will be issued. The anticipated award date will be 75 days after the issuance of this notice. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. See Note(s) 1, 8, 23 and 26.
