- This is a sources sought synopsis seeking information of potential firms (nationwide) that have an interest in submitting as a prime contractor, a proposal for the following description: Capable sources are sought to furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and warranties to construct a new 144-room dormitory, approximately 62,000 square feet, three story with open balconies, precast concrete plank and concrete masonry block construction with brick and stucco exterior finish, standing seam metal roof, common and mechanical/electrical /communications space, complete fire protection, alarm, and mass notification system, complete HVAC, electrical, and communications systems, and all appurtenances for a complete and usable facility. The work involved includes but is not limited to the Construction of 144-room Dormitory on Dover AFB, Delaware. The magnitude for this construction project is more than $10,000,000. We are requesting that all interested and qualified firms respond to this sources sought notice with a capability statement similar to your marketing package used in the everyday course of doing business. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will utilize the following information in determining acquisition strategy: (1) summarize how your company is uniquely capable and qualified to handle this type of construction; (2) summarize projects completed similar to the project outlined above. The list of relevant projects may include names of the project team members and firm, point of contact (contracting officer and QAE/inspector) with titles, phone and fax numbers, project scope, and type of contract; (3) bonding: provide your bonding capacity per contract and aggregate. (4) A statement of your current business size status under the NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors. The information above must be submitted in written format via e-mail to andre.jackson2@dover.af.mil . This Sources Sought is an advance notice for information and planning purposes only and is not a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the successful offeror must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR). The CCR website is: http://www.ccr.gov/. The successful offeror must also have an active Online Representation and Certification Application (ORCA). The ORCA website is: http://orca.bpn.gov/. The information/capability statement must be received not later than February 7, 2007. This sources sought notice should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation to issue a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expend in responding to this request. No solicitation is currently available.
