- Description
- The Instrumentation Radar Support Program (IRSP) contract provides serviceable components and subsystems for instrumentation tracking radars and similar tracking instrumentation systems. Serviceable systems include logistical management of jointly owned stock, repair of unserviceable components for re-entry into stock, engineering and technical expertise, and field overhauls to designated systems. The design, manufacture and installation of sub-systems will be accomplished by contract modification on a case-by-case basis. The IRSP supports a family of fixed, transportable and shipboard radars, and similar tracking instrumentation systems located throughout the world. These systems, while having basic similarities, have been individually modified for the special purpose of each user's requirements. There are 24 ranges participating in the program including Air Force, Army, Navy, NASA, Department of Energy, United Kingdom, Germany, Republic of Korea, Taiwan and Australia. The number of ranges and systems may fluctuate throughout the duration of this contract and will be subject to contract price adjustments. The contractor shall interface with other range contractors to provide support in a timely manner consistent with mission requirements. A hybrid type supply contract with Cost, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Fixed Price Incentive Fee, and Firm Fixed Price Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) is contemplated. The planned contract performance period is 1 Oct 07 through 30 Sep 08 with nine (9) one year option periods. Information concerning this solicitation has been incrementally released and posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Technical Data is/will be available in FedTeds, link is in FedBizOpps posting. The release of the RFP is anticipated on or about 1 Mar 07 with a closing date on or about 30 Mar 07. All responsible offerors may submit an offer which will be considered by the 45th Space Wing.
