- NASA/JSC has a requirement for myboeingfleet.com online access. NASA/JSC intends to purchase the online access from Boeing on a sole source basis. NASA/JSC Aircraft Operations Division (AOD) owns and operates two B747 aircraft (N905 & N911) used primarily for transporting the orbiter. The technical data necessary to support both flight operations and maintenance on this type of aircraft is owned and controlled by the Boeing Aircraft Company. Since Boeing owns all the intellectual property rights for this data, and the information is proprietary, Boeing is the only vendor that can provide this service to NASA/JSC. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 PM CST local time on February 09, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
