- This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA, has a requirement to purchase continued Maintenance on the equipment in the VTC training room and intends to award a sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract to Freeport Technologies Inc. This requirement will be a one year maintenance and technical support for the StarBak INV Conferencing System. Support hours are 0800-1530 hours, Monday through Friday, excluding government holidays. It also includes a one year on-site support services, including 8x5 Help Desk, Embedded System Operating Software Updates, and Hardware Maintenance for Training Room AV Systems. Under the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.302.1(2)(b)(1)(i), the property or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. Inquiries should be submitted, no later than, 14:00 pm, 20 Feb 2007, to Berniece Washington, Contracting Specialist, berniece.washington@usmc.mil. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice; whether or not the Government initially determines that another firm is fully qualified to fulfill the requirement. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests for information will not be honored.
